RENOLIT AG integrates 19 new sites

Take-over of SOLVAY Industrial Foils Business has been completed

Worms, April 3rd 2006 – The take-over of 19 sites of the film division of 
SOLVAY Industrial Foils Business (SIF) by RENOLIT AG, Worms, has 
been completed and is effective from March 31, 2006. The European 
Commission has already approved the take-over of the sub-group of 
SOLVAY S.A., Brussels, on February 23, 2006 with special conditions. In 
the future, all companies will operate under the umbrella of RENOLIT.

The strategic reorganisation enables RENOLIT AG to expand its product 
portfolio into new application areas as well as to increase its production- 
and research competence. The heightened international presence of the 
company increases its flexibility as well as procurement security for the 
customers. The company can thereby ensure a level of constant high 
quality of their manufactured products and services.

Pierre Winant, former C.E.O. of SOLVAY Industrial Foils, will be 
appointed member of the RENOLIT AG executive board. He will take 
over the management of the acquired product divisions medical 
technology and sealants. Furthermore, he will be in charge of integrating 
the new companies and will support Merger & Acquisition projects within 
the new group.
